Thanks a lot for the amazing stay in this Wye River accommodation. Little did we know we ended up getting engaged at the 12 Apostles! What an amazing holiday. Rubin the dog was most impressed with his close encounter with George the koala. Thanks for having us. Jenny and Gitan.

Christmas lunch on the deck with the birds! Sublime. Time spent too short. Beautiful art adorning the walls, a home away from home. John and Stefanie, and Gryff the Border collie.

We had a truly wonderful time here. We chose Treetops from the Internet but had not realised we had stayed here with a much younger family in the early 1990s three times! We enjoyed it then and now. Leslie and Alice.

Thank you for allowing us to share your wonderful Treetops. It is difficult to find the right words to describe the experience, breathtaking tranquil and awesome are but a few words that spring to mind. The best of all worlds is here – from the natural beauty of the rainforest to the magnificent coastline. And all the comforts that the house provides. Thanks.

Greetings, our family just relocated to Melbourne from Texas four months ago and this was our first vacation in the Land of Oz. Your wonderful Treetops home was our base camp to explore the great Ocean Road and we could not be happier. Our three and five-year-old boys were riveted by the birds, we would love to come back again. The Browns.

Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. We especially appreciated the books on wildlife and indigenous people; it helps you understand the land. The wildlife here was wonderful, parrots sitting on your head. Two very big boy koalas fighting until they fell out of a tree! Thank you for providing so much for our comfort and pleasure. Pam.

Many mothers and calves swam in the waters near Wye River.

Great whale watching season at Wye River

The whale season last year was fantastic. From August to November there were whales almost every day visible along the Great Ocean Road. Here are just a couple of comments from folks last year.

18th august 2010 -message from Corinne at Wye River just now. “Three whales off Wye River this morning. One is coming around Point Sturt heading towards, Separation Creek, doing flipper flapping and circle work.” People watching them off the Wye beach..fantastic!

30th august 2010 – From Jim…”This is the best season yet…Today two more whales in the bay at Wye River now heading towards Kennett River, the lead whale is extremely large.

Yep, it’s that time of year again when all those die hard folks run, sprint or walk this amazing marathon along our beautiful coast. I watch them most years but cannot believe how they do it.It’s a great opportunity to raise money for your fav charity.

Come and stay at Wye River or Separation Creek, both lovely townships are in the middle of the run from Apollo Bay to Lorne – take part or just support the folks on the weekend.
